PreSales Solution Architect
About the Job
Itex is a supplier and integrator of advanced IT infrastructure for the Federal Government (NMSO), small and medium businesses, and large enterprises in Canada. Itex has significant expertise at simplifying and optimizing technology offerings. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Pre-sales Solutions Architect a: .
Responsibilities
The Presales candidate will
- design and architect technology solutions centered around Enterprise Data Center Products and Itex’ delivery capabilities.
- drive technologies by supporting the field sales teams in defining, positioning, designing and architecting technology solutions.
- participate in customer facing meetings to align strategies and determine business and technical requirements that will be used in developing solutions or solution alternatives that map within Itex’ product set.
- operate in a multi function role often consisting of; project management, system analyst, system architect, implementation, and training.
- be responsible for designing and delivering technical design solutions that encompass an entire Hardware/Software solution being proposed.
- provide both technical presales support to the direct Sales Team and provide Post Sales deployment services; including, providing on going support to existing customers.
- Requirements
5+ years of Pre & Post sales experience for Storage Networks
- Experience setting up and maintaining NAS and SAN storage networks in large scale distributed deployments
- Experience managing Brocade, Cisco Fibre Channel SANs, and iSCSI SANs.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly with non technical as well as technical personnel
- Technical expertise in multiple product lines that include NetApp, HP StorageWorks, Cisco, VMware, and EMC displaying tact and good judgment in resolving problems and answering inquiries
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
Practical Experience with:
HP storage and Server products, NetApp Storage Arrays and complementary software, VmWare ESX and vSphere products, Cisco networking equipment
Qualifications
- College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science or management information systems and 5+years related work experience, or 10+ years related work experience.
- Solid documentation skills for creating customer deliverables
- Knowledge of storage protocols including FC, iSCSI, FCoE
- Experience with VMWare products
- Ability to work as a solid member and leader of a team
- Must be a self starter and have ability to manage expectations with a sales tea and with customers
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A positive attitude and desire to build a business within a business
- Ability to work independently in a very busy, varied and diverse environment with changing priorities
- A high attention to detail while producing quality work in a timely manner (required).
